AFRIPOL Secretariat organized a Workshop on Risk Analysis and Cross-Border Crime, 10 – 12 September 2019, Algiers, Algeria
As part of the efforts to build and strengthen the capacities of the police agencies of the Member States, and enhance cooperation among them in preventing and countering transnational organized crime and terrorism, AFRIPOL Secretariat organized jointly with European Border and Coast Guard Agency (FRONTEX), in Algeria, Algeria, from 10- to12 September 2019, a capacity building workshop on Risk Analysis and Cross Border Crime. The workshop, brought together police experts from the North African region and countries of the African Union Nouakchott process.
The main objective of the workshop was to build the capacities of the Police Agencies of participating countries on information and risks analysis in prevention and combating cross-border crime. The facilitators provided knowledge in detecting and combating cross border crime, and also sharing of experiences. The workshop also enabled discussion on key concepts on countering terrorism and cross border crime.
