The AFRIPOL Ag Executive Director Jalel Chelba received today at AFRIPOL Headquarters a high delegation from the United Nations office of Counter-Terrorism (UNOCT), led by Mr Steven Siqueira, Deputy Director at the UN Counter-Terrorism Centre (UNCCT).
The meeting was an opportunity to discuss ways of enhancing the cooperation between both institutions for the benefit of African union member States Police Agencies in order to be in a better position to respond to security challenges at regional and global levels.
This initiative is part of the diversification of partnerships between AFRIPOL and International Organizations for the strengthening of the capacities of African States in the fight against all forms of organized crime, especially terrorism.
