Online Training in Modern Project Management in the Service of Security in Africa

On 28–29 July 2026, AFRIPOL, in partnership with CONNECTECH SARL, organised an online training on Modern Project Management in the Service of Security in Africa. The training brought together thirty-seven (37) project coordinators and managers from African Union police agencies.

The training provided participants with practical project management knowledge and skills that can be directly applied to security-related programs and operations, with a particular focus on effective planning, coordination, resource management, risk mitigation, and results-oriented implementation. By strengthening the capacity of security practitioners to manage projects more effectively, the training is expected to contribute to better-coordinated regional initiatives, improved use of resources, and stronger collaboration among law enforcement agencies. In the long term, these strengthened capacities will support more effective responses to transnational security threats, enhance regional stability, and contribute to lasting peace and security across Africa.

The training was facilitated by Mr. Youcef Belouz, CEO of CONNECTECH SARL and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with over 23 years of experience in project management and capacity building.
