AFRIPOL Leadership Meets the Chairperson of the African Union Commission

The AFRIPOL delegation to the Specialized Technical Committee on Defence, Safety and Security (STCDSS) meetings, led by the Acting Executive Director of AFRIPOL, Jalel Chelba, was received by the Chairperson of the African Union Commission, H.E.M. Mahmoud Ali Youssouf.

On this occasion, the Chairperson commended AFRIPOL’s pivotal role and ongoing activities as a technical mechanism within the African Peace and Security Architecture (APSA), and underscored the importance of further strengthening this essential institution in support of the implementation of Agenda 2063. He reaffirmed his full support for AFRIPOL’s enhanced role in safeguarding Africa’s peace, security and sovereignty.
