AFRIPOL Convenes the Sixth Meeting of Heads of National Liaison Offices to Strengthen Continental Police Cooperation Algiers, Algeria | 2–4 December 2025

AFRIPOL convened the sixth meeting of the Heads of National Liaison Offices in Algiers, Algeria, from 02 to 04 December 2025. The meeting was held in line with Article 11 of the AFRIPOL Statute, which guides Member States in establishing National Liaison Offices to support AFRIPOL’s operations.

The gathering brought together the AFRIPOL Secretariat, Heads of National Liaison Offices from 41 AU Member States, AU entities, and international policing partners. Participants reviewed ongoing activities, assessed progress on previous resolutions, and received updates on AFRIPOL’s key tools and frameworks, including AFSECOM, the eLearning Platform, and the Continental Data Centre.

Delegates also discussed the operationalization of National Liaison Offices, the strengthening of national and regional cooperation mechanisms, and measures to address contemporary security challenges linked to transnational organized crime and terrorism.
