As part of its activities to combat international drug trafficking, Guinea Bissau, in collaboration with several partners, successfully conducted an anti-drug operation that resulted in the seizure of 2,633.1 kg of cocaine, which were onboard a Gulfstream IV aircraft, registered XA-SBT, from Venezuela.
The seizure was made on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at 1:46 p.m. at Osvaldo Vieira International Airport. The plane was carrying 78 bullets of cocaine.
Among those arrested are five Latin American citizens: two of Mexican nationality, one Colombian, one Ecuadorian, and one Brazilian. The investigation will continue with the aim of dismantling the entire network involved in this trafficking.
