The AFRIPOL Steering Committee meeting is taking place in Tunisia, and was officially opened by the Minister of Interior for the Republic of Tunisia- H.E.M Kamel FEKI who affirmed the keenness to ensure the success of this important event, that gathered the leadership of AFRIPOL.
At the opening ceremony, President of AFRIPOL Mr. Japhet Koome expressed his gratitude to the Government of Tunisia for their hospitality and support in hosting the AFRIPOL Steering Committee meeting. The Ag Executive Director of AFRIPOL Amb Jalel Chelba reiterated the importance of AFRIPOL and the need to capacitate this African institution with necessary manpower and financial support to promote cooperation among law enforcement agencies within the Continent and to effectively combat transnational organized crimes, terrorism and cybercrime.
