Structure
General Assembly
The General Assembly is the supreme technical and deliberative organ of AFRIPOL, with the responsibility to provide leadership direction regarding police cooperation in Africa. The General Assembly is composed of Chiefs of Police from the African Union Member States.
The General Assembly work out the policies and set the guidelines and strategic priorities of AFRIPOL. Also, ensure the supervision of the implementation of the policies, guidelines and strategic priorities of AFRIPOL upon their adoption by the AU Policy Organs;
The Bureau of the AFRIPOL General Assembly composed of the following:
- The President
- Three (3) Vice Presidents
- One (1) rapporteur

- Kenya (Eastern Africa) – Chair of the General Assembly
- Côte d'Ivoire (Western Africa) – First Vice Chair of the
- General Assembly
- Republic of Congo (Central Africa) – Second Vice Chair of the General Assembly
- Bostwana (Southern Africa) – Third Vice Chair of the General Assembly
- Algeria (Northern Africa) – Rapporteur

Mission
The AFRIPOL Secretariat is responsible for convene and servicing the meetings of General Assembly, the Steering Committee, or other meetings of AFRIPOL. It also the body that maintain contact with national and international law enforcement authorities. The AFRIPOL Secretariat is responsible for implementing the decisions of the AFRIPOL General Assembly and the Steering Committee.
National Liaison Office
The AFRIPOL National Liaison offices is the structure responsible for coordinating the linkages between the police agencies of the Member States. They are also the link between the national police agencies and the AFRIPOL Secretariat – serving as the national level contact points on all AFRIPOL matters.
Each Member State of the African Union has an AFRIPOL National Liaison Office for the smooth running of AFRIPOL activities.
