From 14 to 18 October 2024, Nouakchott, Mauritania, hosted the second training session in digital forensics, organized by AFRIPOL in collaboration with the German Federal Police (GFP). This capacity-building workshop targeted African digital forensics experts and police officers, focusing on enhancing technical proficiency in the use of forensic SPEKTOR devices.
As cybercrime continues to evolve rapidly, it is essential for law enforcement agencies to acquire advanced technical skills to counter these threats. This workshop offered participants hands-on experience with the SPEKTOR device, training them to apply it in real-life investigative scenarios. Mastering this technology is a crucial step in enhancing the capacity of African law enforcement agencies, contributing to a more secure digital landscape across the continent. The workshop brought together five participants from Chad, Djibouti, Egypt, Guinea-Bissau, and Mauritania.
