As part of the ISPA programme, AFRIPOL is jointly organizing with INTERPOL in Harare, Zimbabwe, from 25 to 29 November 2024, trainings on virtual assets and investigation tools SPEKTOR and MOBILEDIT, in the field of cybercrime for the benefit of African Union member states Police Agencies.
These trainings have benefited to 40 participants from 16 African Union Member States and took place in two groups, respectively of 26 and 14 officers, for the mentioned modules.
The Virtual Assets courses will familiarize participants with the concept of the virtual asset ecosystem and the relevant analytical and investigative tools to identify, track, trace and analyze cryptocurrency transactions. At the same time, training on SPEKTOR and MobilEdit will provide participants with the knowledge and know-how necessary to collect, filter and prepare reports on digital evidence to present to judicial authorities.
